Best for
Steps
Pick a tool
2 minTencent Zhiying / HeyGen / D-ID
Tencent Zhiying (most China-friendly, strong Chinese, generous free credits); HeyGen (best quality, 95%+ lip sync, ~$1-2/min); D-ID (cheap and sufficient, ~$0.3-0.7/min). Advanced: record 2-5 minutes of yourself and train an 'Instant Avatar' in HeyGen to clone your own presenter.
Prepare the avatar
2 minPreset avatar / headshot photo
Start with a platform preset, or generate a custom presenter from a headshot (even lighting, clean background, ≥720p resolution).
Write the talking-head script
5 minChatGPT / Claude
100-300 words, short sentences with plenty of commas. Avatar lip sync is driven entirely by punctuation — the more standard your punctuation, the better the result.
Generate and render
5-10 minHeyGen / Tencent Zhiying
Paste the script, pick a voice, submit the render (a 1-minute video takes about 1-2 minutes). Then check lip sync, expression and voice fit.
💡Play each segment and check the lips; re-render only the sentences that fail rather than restarting the whole video.
Post-process and publish
5 minCapCut
Add captions, BGM and transitions in CapCut, then publish. For multilingual export, use HeyGen's multilingual lip sync to produce every language version from one script.
